About Rarest Answer

Rarest Answer is a free daily trivia game about thinking past the obvious. Everyone gets the same 7 questions; the best answers are the correct ones almost nobody else thinks of.

Where the questions come from

Every question is written for this game. Each comes with a list of accepted answers — usually 50 to 150 — including alternative names and spellings, plus an estimate of how common each answer is.

How the percentages are measured

Each browser counts once per question per day. The percentage next to an answer is the share of all players who gave it. At the very start of a day we blend in our estimate so the first players get sensible numbers; it fades out as real answers arrive. Correct answers we didn't list are checked once by an AI judge, then counted for everyone.
