In short: Eraly's own infinite mode sits behind a sign-in and a $5 payment (checked 24 Oct 2026). Yearline Unlimited above is a free alternative: endless 7-moment rounds, an optional era filter, and the same closer-is-better scoring. No account; your best round stays in this browser.
Era drills: practise the century you keep missing
| Era | Events in the bank | What to anchor on |
|---|---|---|
| Before 1500 | 30 | 476 (fall of Rome in the West), 800 (Charlemagne), 1066 (Hastings), 1453 (Constantinople) |
| 1500–1799 | 21 | 1492, 1517 (Luther), 1588 (Armada), 1687 (Newton), 1776, 1789 |

| 1900–1945 | 15 | 1903 (first flight), 1914, 1917, 1929, 1939, 1945 |
| 1946–today | 44 | 1957 (Sputnik), 1969 (Moon), 1989 (Berlin Wall), 1991, 2001, 2007 (iPhone) |
A 4-step routine for unlimited practice
- Play one round on All eras to see where you lose points — the gap bar after each moment shows how far off you were.
- Drill your worst era for three or four rounds. Learn two or three anchor years for it from the table above.
- Date by technology first. Steam, telegraph, radio, TV, internet: each one rules out whole centuries before you think about the exact year.
- Commit to a decade, then nudge. Use the ±10 and ±1 buttons to move from the decade you are sure of to the year you think is right.
